I created this process book for my undergraduate thesis project, called "Designing A New Web" because I was designing my own version of the web through a series of websites. My goal was to carve out my own spaces on the web by creating spaces that prioritise slowness, creativity, collaboration, and craft. My research question was this: "How can I use the web as a medium to design my own ecosystem of experimental tools for community, collaboration, and creativity?"
This book was designed, written, and bound by myself as a part of my final thesis submission. It's about 115 pages of my visual and written process, research, an annotated bibliography, and a re-print of J.R. Carpenter's "A Handmade Web", which was an influential reading for my project and inspired the handmade binding for my book.
